The old core
Near the centre, the street pattern turns fine and irregular, with short lanes and compound walls packed closely together. On the map this reads as the densest, most textured part of the town.

Azare Map Poster & Print
Azare sits in the north of Bauchi State, on the wide, level savanna that stretches across northern Nigeria. From above, the town reads as a dense core of closely packed lanes and compounds. Around it, straighter roads and newer blocks spread outward, and at the edges the built fabric loosens into fields and dry-season tracks. The land is flat, so the streets don't have to bend around hills.
The town is the headquarters of Katagum local government area and the seat of the Katagum Emirate, which gives it a traditional centre alongside its administrative role. It also hosts a Federal Medical Centre that serves a wide surrounding area. On paper, all of this shows up as a clear gradient: a tight historic heart, a ring of institutional and residential districts, and a network of roads connecting Azare to neighbouring towns.
A Azare map poster keeps only that structure, in black ink on a light ground. Without the colour and the dust, the pattern stands out: the irregular grain of the old quarters, the straighter lines of later growth and the long roads that head out across the plain. It's a quiet, honest portrait of a northern Nigerian town, and it works as well in a hallway as above a desk.

Roads outward
Several main roads leave the town in different directions and link it to the wider region. On the poster they run like spokes from the centre and thin to single lines at the edges.
Open savanna edge
The town has no coastline or river to frame it. It simply fades into the surrounding plain, and that soft, uneven boundary gives the composition a lot of open space.
