Informal street pattern
Roads spread outward from the main routes in an irregular way rather than a planned grid, giving the town an organic outline that reads clearly in black and white.

Babamba Map Poster & Print
Babamba lies in Tshopo province in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, only a short distance north of the equator. This is the country of the central Congo basin, where forest covers most of the land and settlements are linked by a thin network of roads and tracks. From above, the town appears as an open patch of streets and compounds within that wider landscape.
On paper, a place like this becomes a study in contrast between the built and the unbuilt. The street pattern is informal rather than gridded, with lanes branching from the main routes and fading out toward the surrounding land. A Babamba map poster keeps those lines simple and quiet, giving shape to a town that rarely appears in atlases at this scale.
Tshopo province takes in a large part of the Congo River's upper basin, with Kisangani as its main city far to the west. The region is shaped by rivers, rainfall and forest, and towns such as Babamba sit within that rhythm. The map records the arrangement of the place as it stands today, without decoration.

Edge of the forest
Beyond the last streets the map turns largely blank, reflecting the forested country of the Congo basin that surrounds settlements in this part of Tshopo.
Near the equator
The coordinates place Babamba just north of the equator, a detail that works well on the personalised coordinates line beneath the title.

Miért Babamba?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
A map of Babamba is usually a personal choice: a hometown, a family origin, or a place where someone lived and worked. It keeps a less-documented town visible on a wall, drawn with the same care as any capital.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be changed, for example to add a name or a year, and the map comes in five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the framing first.
