Preguiças River
The river curves past the town in wide meanders on its way to the coast. It is the main natural line on the poster and the route boats take downstream.

Barreirinhas Map Poster & Print
Barreirinhas lies on the banks of the Preguiças River in Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil. It is best known as the main base for visiting Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The park is a vast field of white sand dunes where rainwater collects in seasonal lagoons between the crests.
On a map the town hugs the river. Streets spread back from the water in a loose grid, and the Preguiças itself loops and doubles back as it heads toward the Atlantic. Beyond the built area the roads fade into sandy tracks and vegetation, with the dune field starting nearby.
A Barreirinhas map poster captures that edge between town and wilderness. The river gives a strong, meandering line, the streets add a compact cluster of detail, and the surrounding land stays open. It is a map of a place people pass through on their way to something extraordinary, and often remember as fondly.

Riverside grid
Streets extend from the waterfront in a simple grid. Blocks near the river are denser, and the pattern loosens toward the town's sandy outskirts.
Gateway to the dunes
The town is the usual starting point for trips into Lençóis Maranhenses. The park's dunes and rain-fed lagoons stretch across the land nearby.
