The long beach
The shoreline runs in an almost unbroken line along the Channel. On the poster it becomes a single clean boundary between the dense street grid and the open sea.

Berck Map Poster & Print
Berck lies on the Opal Coast of northern France, where a wide sandy beach runs almost dead straight along the Channel. From above the town has two parts: Berck-Ville, the older centre set back inland, and Berck-Plage, laid out along the seafront. To the south the Baie d'Authie opens as a broad estuary of sandbanks and channels that changes with every tide.
In the nineteenth century the sea air brought hospitals and treatment centres to Berck, beginning with a maritime hospital for children. Large medical buildings still stand out on the map close to the shore. The town is also known for its international kite festival held on the beach, and for the seals that rest on the sandbanks of the bay.
A Berck map poster makes the most of that strong edge. The coastline cuts the sheet cleanly, the resort streets fill the land behind it, and the estuary adds soft, irregular shapes along the southern margin. It is a strongly horizontal composition that suits wide formats well.

Baie d'Authie
South of town the Authie estuary spreads into sandbanks and winding channels. Its soft, organic shapes contrast with the straight lines of the resort.
Seafront hospitals
Large hospital buildings near the shore recall Berck's history as a place of healing by the sea. They appear as bigger footprints among the smaller residential blocks.

Miért Berck?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Berck means summer holidays for many families from northern France and Belgium, and for others a long stay by the sea. A clean map of the seafront keeps that memory in view without resorting to postcard imagery.
You can add a title, a subtitle with the year of a first visit, and your own coordinates line. The Blueprint and Sand styles suit the coast particularly well. Printed posters on matte paper ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
