Zócalo and grid
The main square and the regular blocks around it form the densest, most orderly part of the map, a layout that has changed remarkably little since the colonial period.

Cuauhtémoc Map Poster & Print
Cuauhtémoc is the central borough of Mexico City, and within its boundaries lie the Historic Centre, Paseo de la Reforma, and neighbourhoods such as Roma, Condesa, Juárez and Santa María la Ribera. It sits on the bed of the old Lake Texcoco, on the site of Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital, and its streets are laid out on flat ground with no hills to interrupt them.
The Historic Centre follows the grid set out by the Spanish after 1521, with the vast Zócalo at its heart, the Metropolitan Cathedral on its northern side and the remains of the Templo Mayor beside it. To the west, the Alameda Central forms a rectangle of green, and from there Paseo de la Reforma cuts a long diagonal south-west toward Chapultepec, punctuated by roundabouts and monuments.
South of Reforma, the pattern softens. In Condesa, Avenida Amsterdam traces an oval that follows the course of a former racetrack, and Parque México and Parque España add rounded green spaces. A Cuauhtémoc map poster shows how many different cities fit inside one borough: colonial grid, grand boulevard and garden neighbourhoods, all pressed together at the centre of the capital.

Paseo de la Reforma
The broad avenue runs diagonally across the borough, its roundabouts appearing as small circles along a straight line, a strong gesture across the surrounding grid.
Condesa oval
Avenida Amsterdam loops around a long oval that follows an old horse-racing track, a gentle curved shape surrounded by tree-lined streets and small parks.

Miért Cuauhtémoc?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many people who love Mexico City know it through Cuauhtémoc: an apartment in Roma, a Sunday walk down Reforma, an evening in Condesa. This map puts those memories on one sheet, framed by the centre's familiar geometry.
Set the title as Cuauhtémoc, CDMX or the name of your colonia, add a date in the subtitle and keep the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files or order a printed poster.
