Forest preserve corridors
Wooded strips along the local waterways cut through the grid of homes. On the poster they read as soft, irregular blank areas that break up the street pattern.

Deerfield Map Poster & Print
Deerfield sits on the North Shore, north of Chicago, and from above it looks like many older Illinois suburbs, only calmer. Curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs fill the blocks between a few straight arterial roads. Long strips of green follow the waterways, and a commuter rail line runs through town on its way south into the city. The street pattern is quiet and even, with nothing forced into a strict grid.
The town is known mainly as the home of the Walgreens corporate headquarters, and it also has a university campus. On the map, the offices and the campus look like larger parcels with loops of internal road and wide parking areas. Around them sit tightly packed neighbourhoods of single-family homes, so the finer residential streets meet those broader shapes near the town's edges.
A Deerfield map poster works because of this contrast between dense, looping residential streets and open bands of preserve and parkland. Printed in black and white, the curving lanes look almost like handwriting, and the green corridors turn into calm empty spaces that give the composition room. It is a small map with plenty of fine detail.

Commuter rail line
A straight rail line runs through town toward Chicago. Among the curving streets it is one of the few firm, ruler-straight lines on the sheet.
Looping residential lanes
Cul-de-sacs and gently bending streets fill most neighbourhoods. The result is a dense, organic texture that prints especially crisply at larger sizes.

Miért Deerfield?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People hang a Deerfield map for the house they grew up in, the first home they bought, or the neighbourhood where their children learned to ride bikes. The street pattern is familiar enough to recognise at a glance and fine enough to reward a closer look.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a move-in date, and the coordinates line. Then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The poster is available as a $9 set of HD digital files or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
