Clock tower hill
The old town wraps around a small rocky rise crowned by the Tour de l'Horloge. On the map it shows as a knot of short, curving lanes that is easy to spot.

Draguignan Map Poster & Print
From above, Draguignan starts with a tight knot of medieval lanes around a small rocky hill. The clock tower stands on top of it. The old streets bend with the slope, so the blocks are small and irregular. Around this core, wider boulevards and tree-lined allées mark where the town spread out in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The Nartuby river runs along the town, and wooded hills rise to the north. Those hills keep the built-up area in a fairly contained shape. Further out, the street pattern loosens into residential roads and the large grounds of the military schools. Draguignan is closely tied to French artillery training, and the town was the prefecture of the Var department for much of its history.
A Draguignan map poster puts all these layers side by side: the dense medieval centre, the calmer grid of the boulevards, and the roads that follow the valleys into the hills. The town's name is often linked to a local dragon legend. In black and white, the winding centre and the straighter newer streets make a clear contrast.

Plane-tree allées
Broad avenues edge the historic centre. They draw long straight lines on the map and separate the medieval streets from the later expansion.
Nartuby valley
The small Nartuby river runs close to the town. Roads and gardens follow its course, and wooded hills close off the northern side of the map.

Miért Draguignan?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Draguignan often means something personal. For some it is a place of military training or a first posting. For others it is a family base in the Var, or the town they drove through on the way to the Gorges du Verdon. A map of its knotted centre is a quiet way to keep that connection on the wall.
You can personalise the poster with your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a date or a name. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy it as a $9 set of HD files or as a printed matte poster, with an optional wooden frame.
