Pioneer-era core
The original settlement at the centre forms a small, dense knot of streets. Its scale is clearly different from the wider neighbourhoods added around it over the following century.

Gedera Map Poster & Print
Gedera sits on the southern edge of the Central District, where the coastal plain starts to soften toward the Shephelah. From above, the older core is a small cluster of short, orderly streets. Newer neighbourhoods spread outward from it in looping cul-de-sacs and planned blocks. The main roads skirt the town instead of cutting through it, so the map has a clear edge where housing gives way to fields.
The town was founded in 1884 by members of the Bilu movement, among the early pioneers of modern Jewish settlement in the region. That origin still shows in the layout. A modest farming village sits at the centre, and later growth wraps around it in rings. The contrast between the tight original lanes and the broad, curving suburbs gives the plan its character.
A Gedera map poster keeps things quiet on purpose. Streets become fine black lines and open land stays white, so the eye can follow how a pioneer village grew into a town of around thirty thousand people. It works as a record of a place, not a postcard of it, which suits a hallway, a study or a gift for someone who grew up there.

Planned outer districts
Newer residential areas curve and loop in the manner of modern Israeli planning. They make soft, rounded shapes that contrast with the straighter lines of the older town.
Farmland edge
Beyond the built-up area, the map opens into farmland and road corridors. This gives the town a crisp outline against largely empty white space.

Miért Gedera?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People hang a map of Gedera because it is where a family story began, or where they served, studied or raised children. A street plan holds those memories without spelling them out. It also sits comfortably in modern interiors where a photograph might feel too literal.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date or the coordinates line, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files for all six print sizes cost $9. You can also order a matte print, framed if you like.
