Lakes and ponds
Dozens of small lakes, ponds and wetlands are scattered through the city. They appear as smooth, rounded shapes that break up the street pattern across the whole map.

Maplewood Map Poster & Print
Maplewood is a first-ring suburb in Ramsey County, Minnesota, wrapping around the north and east sides of Saint Paul. From above it is a patchwork of water and green space. Small lakes and ponds are scattered across the city, wetlands and nature preserves lie between neighbourhoods, and residential streets bend around them instead of following a strict grid.
The city is home to the headquarters of 3M, whose large corporate campus near Interstate 94 appears on the map as a distinct cluster of buildings, roads and parking areas. Interstate 694 and Highway 36 also cross Maplewood. Because the city is long and irregular in outline, its northern and southern neighbourhoods feel quite different from each other.
A Maplewood map poster shows a very Minnesotan balance of lakes and streets. Water bodies of every size break up the residential pattern, and the highways add firm structural lines across the frame. The result is more varied than most suburban maps, with plenty of open space and a rhythm set by the landscape as much as by planning.

3M campus
The global headquarters of 3M occupies a large campus near Interstate 94. Its internal roads and big building footprints form a distinctive block in the southern part of the city.
Curving subdivisions
Many residential areas follow cul-de-sacs and gentle curves rather than a grid. The streets flow around water and parkland in soft, looping lines.

Miért Maplewood?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Maplewood is where many people put down roots within reach of Saint Paul, bought a first house or raised a family near the lakes. A map of the city marks that chapter quietly, and its mix of water and streets makes a pleasing picture on any wall.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps your street name and the year you moved in, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9 in sizes including 18×24 and 24×36 inches, or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
