Planned street grid
Broad avenues run in a regular pattern across the flat coastal ground, so the centre of the poster has a calm, even texture of rectangular blocks.

Yatou Map Poster & Print
Yatou is the urban core of Rongcheng, near the easternmost point of the Shandong Peninsula. From above it reads as a planned town of broad, evenly spaced streets on low coastal ground, and the sea is close to every edge of the frame. Bays, harbour basins and an uneven shoreline give the map a busy outer border that contrasts with the orderly blocks inside.
The coast around Rongcheng is known for the whooper swans that spend the winter in its shallow lagoons, and for the rocky headland at Chengshantou, often described as the place where the sun first rises over mainland China. Fishing and seafood processing have long shaped the waterfront, and on the map the harbour works appear as clean piers and breakwaters reaching into open water.
A Yatou map poster shows all of this in plain lines: the rectangular town, the curving coastal roads and the blank white of the sea. It suits anyone with ties to the Jiaodong coast, whether they grew up here, worked around the harbour or remember a winter trip to see the swans on the lagoons.

Harbour edge
Piers, breakwaters and harbour basins cut sharp geometric shapes into the shoreline, a clear sign of the fishing trade that has long defined this part of the coast.
Lagoons and headlands
Beyond the town, shallow lagoons and rocky capes break up the coast. These are the quiet waters where whooper swans gather through the colder months.
