Date farm blocks
Walled plantations and farm plots form a distinct cluster beside the town, drawn as close, rectangular parcels divided by narrow tracks.

La mappa
Adh Dhayd Map Poster & Print
Adh Dhayd, often written Al Dhaid, is an inland town in Sharjah emirate, roughly halfway between the city of Sharjah and the Hajar Mountains. It grew as an oasis, and the map still shows the pattern: blocks of walled date palm farms and plantations beside the town, with the newer, regular residential districts and wide roads around them.
The oasis was historically watered by aflaj, underground and surface channels that carried groundwater to the gardens, and the town remains one of Sharjah's main farming areas, known for dates and vegetables. The archaeological site of Mleiha lies to the south. Past the farms, the landscape opens into gravel plains and sand stretching toward the mountains.
An Adh Dhayd map poster places the green, fine-grained shapes of the oasis beside the broad geometry of modern roads and roundabouts. Beyond that, the desert shows up as open white space. It is an unusual composition for a Gulf town, framed by agriculture and open desert rather than by a coastline or a skyline.
