Ærøskøbing streets
The old town's small, irregular street pattern is one of the most compact on the island. On the poster it forms a tight knot of lanes beside its harbour.

La mappa
Ærø Map Poster & Print
Ærø lies in the South Funen Archipelago, south of Funen in the Baltic. It is a long, narrow island stretching from northwest to southeast, with a gently rolling interior of fields, small woods and country lanes. The coastline is soft and uneven, with shallow bays, spits and a few lagoons, and the main roads run along its length, linking three harbour towns.
Ærøskøbing, near the middle of the north coast, is one of Denmark's best-preserved small market towns, with cobbled streets and low eighteenth-century houses. Marstal, at the southeastern end, has a long history as a shipbuilding and seafaring town, while Søby in the northwest has a ferry harbour and a shipyard. Ærø is also a popular destination for international weddings.
An Ærø map poster shows a place of gentle scale: winding roads, small towns and a coastline that never becomes dramatic. The compact street patterns of Ærøskøbing and Marstal stand out against the fields, and the surrounding water of the archipelago frames the island. It is a calm, finely detailed image that rewards a closer look.

Marstal harbour
At the island's southeastern end, Marstal spreads along a long harbour front, its streets reflecting a town built around ships and the sea.
Rolling interior
Between the towns, country roads wind through farmland and villages. They create an even, lace-like pattern across the island, broken only by small woods and wetlands.

Perché Ærø
Una mappa che ha un significato
For many couples, Ærø is where they married, and a poster of the island is a natural way to mark that day. Others know it from sailing holidays, cycling trips or summers in a family house by the water.
Set the title to your names, add a wedding date in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. It is available as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame or as HD files.
