La mappa

Ārangaon Map Poster & Print

Ārangaon lies on the Deccan plateau a few kilometers south of Ahilyanagar, the Maharashtra city long known as Ahmednagar. The map shows a compact village core surrounded by open, mostly dry farmland. Field boundaries, tracks and seasonal streams draw a fine pattern across the flat ground.

The place is known well beyond the region because of Meherabad, the ashram and tomb-shrine of the spiritual teacher Meher Baba, which sits beside Ārangaon. Pilgrims come from across India and abroad, especially for the annual commemoration of his passing, which brings thousands of visitors to the hill each year.

An Ārangaon map poster keeps the scale honest, showing a small cluster of lanes, the routes linking it to the city and the low rise where the shrine stands. Drawn in clean lines, the plateau becomes an almost abstract field built around a few meaningful points.

Meherabad hill

The low hill beside the village holds Meher Baba's shrine. It is the point that draws pilgrims and gives the quiet map its reason for being known worldwide.

02

Village core

Ārangaon's own lanes form a tight, irregular cluster, the typical plan of a Deccan village that grew around wells, temples and household compounds.

03

Plateau farmland

Around the settlement, field edges and cart tracks spread in all directions over flat, dry ground, adding a delicate texture to the open parts of the poster.
