Between coast and hills
The town lies on the coastal plain, with the Caribbean to the north and forested slopes to the south. A wider frame shows both edges of this narrow lowland.

La mappa
Arizona Map Poster & Print
Arizona is a municipality in the Atlántida Department on the northern coast of Honduras. The town sits in the lowlands between the Caribbean shore and the forested ranges rising to the south. From above, the settlement is a modest grid of streets surrounded by farmland, with rivers from the hills cutting across the plain toward the sea.
Like much of this coast, the area around Arizona is shaped by agriculture. Large regular fields, plantation roads and scattered villages fill the lowland. The main coastal highway linking Tela and La Ceiba runs nearby, a long line through the region. To the south the terrain rises steeply, and the road network thins out into forest.
An Arizona map poster shows a compact town set between two very different landscapes: flat, cultivated land and green mountains. Printed in black and white, the rivers and roads form a loose web around a small, orderly centre. The name is unexpected for Central America, and it makes an interesting talking point on a wall.

Rivers to the sea
Rivers from the hills cross the plain in long, winding lines. They add movement to the poster and break up the regular farmland around the town.
Coastal highway link
The main road along the Atlántida coast passes nearby, a firm line connecting the area with Tela and La Ceiba.
