Mediterranean shoreline
A long, nearly straight coastline runs along the north of the map. It forms a clean edge between the beachfront blocks and the open sea.

La mappa
Balţīm Map Poster & Print
Balţīm is a town on the northern edge of the Nile Delta in Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate, on the narrow strip of land between the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Burullus. From above, that position shapes everything: open sea to the north, a wide lagoon to the south, and the town laid out along the coast road that runs between them.
The older centre is a tight mesh of streets, while blocks of summer apartments and chalets line the beachfront. On the lagoon side, rectangular fish ponds and farm plots create a geometric pattern along the water's edge. The Balţīm map poster sets all three bands in one frame: sea, town and lake, each with its own texture.
Balţīm has long been a summer resort for Egyptian families, and its beaches fill during the hot months. Lake Burullus, the second largest of the Nile Delta lakes, is a protected area and an important stop for migrating birds. Its shallow waters and islands have supported fishing communities for generations.

Lake Burullus
The wide, shallow lagoon to the south fills much of the frame. Its irregular shoreline and islands contrast with the straight line of the sea coast.
Fish-farm geometry
Rectangular fish ponds and farm plots line the lake shore. They make a precise geometric pattern that gives the southern part of the poster an unusual texture.

Perché Balţīm
Una mappa che ha un significato
Summers on the Delta coast leave strong memories, and this map suits anyone who spent holidays by the sea at Balţīm. The layers of water and land make an unusual composition, very different from an inland city plan.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a summer or a year. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Check the free 900 px preview, then order digital files or a printed poster.
