La mappa
Ban Bang Kadi Map Poster & Print
Ban Bang Kadi lies in Pathum Thani province, just north of Bangkok, on the low, flat plain of the Chao Phraya. From above, the broad river curves through the frame. The built-up area follows its banks and the roads that run parallel to it, with narrow lanes branching off at right angles toward fields, gardens and water channels.
The map mixes several textures. Along the river, older settlement forms a thin, continuous band of houses. Inland, the large rectangular buildings of an industrial estate stand in orderly rows, while housing estates add small, regular grids. A Ban Bang Kadi map poster shows how a traditional riverside place has been reshaped by the industry and suburbs spreading out from Bangkok.
Pathum Thani has long been rice-growing country, crossed by canals dug to drain and irrigate the plain, and parts of that pattern survive around the community. The area is now also a manufacturing district, with a major road leading south to Bangkok. As a result, the map shifts between water, factory and field within short distances.

Industrial estate
Rows of large factory buildings form a crisp rectangular block near the river, a strong geometric counterpoint to the loose lanes of the older village areas.
Canals and lanes
Narrow waterways and small roads run inland from the river in straight lines, a pattern shaped by drainage and rice farming on the flat plain.
