La mappa
Bayside Map Poster & Print
Bayside lies on California's far northern coast, between Arcata and Eureka on the eastern side of Humboldt Bay. From above, the place is defined less by streets than by landscape. Tidal marshes and pasture spread along the bay's edge, and forested hills rise to the east. A handful of roads trace the space between the water and the trees.
That setting gives the map an unusual balance. The shoreline of Humboldt Bay cuts across one side of the frame, soft and irregular, while creeks wind down from the hills to the flats. Residential streets are few and spread out, often following the contours of the slope instead of any grid.
A Bayside map poster is mainly a portrait of land meeting water. In black and white, the bay becomes a broad calm shape and the roads become thin threads, so the drawing looks almost like a coastal chart. It suits people who live along the bay, students who passed through nearby Arcata, and anyone drawn to the North Coast.

Creeks and marshland
Small creeks run from the hills to the bay through low wetland. In print they show up as delicate winding lines across the flats.
Forested hills
Wooded hills rise to the east, and roads climb into them in gentle curves. The sparse lines there contrast with the more settled ground along the bay.

Perché Bayside
Una mappa che ha un significato
Bayside suits people who love the North Coast for its fog, forest and water. A minimalist map with the curve of Humboldt Bay reads as both a place and a mood, and it fits naturally in a cabin, a studio, or a home far from California.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates to mark a house, a trail or a year spent here. Pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters are available too, on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
