From above, the resort village fills the lower part of the valley, with a single access road winding up to it. The ski runs spread across the forested slopes above in a wide, branching pattern.
The resort is home to the Birds of Prey downhill course, a regular stop on the World Cup circuit and the venue for men's speed events at the Alpine World Ski Championships held with Vail. On the map, the course is one of the long runs descending steeply through the forest toward the village.
