La mappa
Bellavista Map Poster & Print
Bellavista is the capital of Bellavista Province in the San Martín region of northern Peru, on the edge of the Amazon lowlands. It sits in the valley of the Huallaga River, where the land flattens out into fields before rising again toward wooded hills. From above, the town is a clear, rectangular grid of streets.
The valley around Bellavista is farming country, and the map shows long field boundaries, irrigation lines and rural tracks surrounding the built area. The Huallaga itself, one of the main rivers of the Peruvian Amazon, runs through the wider landscape as a wide, winding band.
On a Bellavista map poster the town's grid stands out sharply against the looser shapes of the valley. The straight blocks, the river nearby and the open land beyond give a composition with a strong sense of setting, a small urban centre ordered neatly within a large, green landscape.

Huallaga River valley
The Huallaga winds through the broad valley near the town. Its loose curves and channels contrast with the straight streets and give the map movement.
Valley farmland
Fields and rural tracks surround the town on the flat valley floor. Their long lines fill the poster's margins and show the agricultural life of the province.
