Strunde valley
This small stream crosses the centre and once drove the mills that made the city a centre of papermaking. It left a thin blue thread through the town.

La mappa
Bergisch Gladbach Map Poster & Print
Bergisch Gladbach lies just east of Cologne, where the flat Rhine lowland rises into the hills of the Bergisches Land. The map reflects that transition. Streets in the west are fairly regular, and further east they curve along valleys and ridges, with large forests between the districts.
The Strunde stream runs through the centre. For centuries it powered mills, and the city became known for papermaking, a tradition carried on by the Zanders mill for generations. The city is a union of formerly separate towns, including Bensberg and Refrath. Each still has its own centre on the map.
Schloss Bensberg, a large baroque palace built for the Elector Palatine in the early eighteenth century, stands on a hill overlooking the Rhine plain. A Bergisch Gladbach map poster captures a city made of several centres, joined by woods, valleys and winding roads.

Perché Bergisch Gladbach
Una mappa che ha un significato
Bergisch Gladbach suits anyone who knows the pull between city and countryside: close to Cologne, but shaped by hills and forest. A map shows both at once, from the palace to the valley paths.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, perhaps with a district name like Bensberg or Refrath. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
