Small street network
Betioky's built-up area is compact, with a few streets clustered around the main roads, so the whole town fits comfortably within the frame.

La mappa
Betioky Map Poster & Print
Betioky, often called Betioky-Sud, lies in the Atsimo-Andrefana region of southwestern Madagascar. This is one of the island's driest areas. The map shows a modest town of short streets built around its main roads, and sandy tracks lead out into thinly settled country with few built-up areas.
The town serves as a district centre for a wide rural area of farming and cattle herding. The surrounding district is also home to the Bezà Mahafaly special reserve, which is known for its research on lemurs and on the region's dry forest.
A Betioky map poster presents a place of spare lines and generous open space. The small street network sits at the centre, and a handful of roads and tracks extend outward. That sparseness reflects the landscape itself and makes the composition quiet and uncluttered.

Rural tracks
Unpaved roads and paths spread out into the countryside, and they thin gradually as the land becomes emptier.
Dry southwest
The open space around the town reflects the arid landscape of southwestern Madagascar, where settlements are few and widely spaced.
