La mappa
Cariré Map Poster & Print
Cariré is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Ceará, in the semi-arid interior of the Northeast, not far from the regional centre of Sobral. The landscape is typical sertão: caatinga scrubland, low hills and watercourses that flow strongly only in the rainy season.
On a map, the town is a small, orderly grid of streets built around a central square and its church, the pattern shared by many towns in the Northeast interior. Roads leave the grid toward neighbouring municipalities, and past the last houses the map becomes mostly open ground, crossed by the thin lines of rural tracks and seasonal streams.
A Cariré map poster is simple and spacious. A compact town is held in the middle of a large, quiet landscape, and the balance of dense streets and open space suits a minimalist black-and-white print.

Seasonal rivers
Watercourses in the area run mainly during the rainy season. On the map they trace thin, winding lines across the dry surroundings.
Caatinga landscape
Scrubland and small farms surround the town. They leave broad white areas on the print that make the urban core stand out clearly.

Perché Cariré
Una mappa che ha un significato
Cariré is home for many families who have since moved to Fortaleza, São Paulo or further afield. A map of the town keeps its streets and square close, as a personal and understated piece for the wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a surname or a special year. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
