Meeting of rivers
The Usva joins the Chusovaya here. The two channels split the town into several districts, so its outline follows the water rather than any planned shape.

La mappa
Chusovoy Map Poster & Print
Chusovoy sits in the western foothills of the Urals in Perm Krai, where the Usva flows into the Chusovaya. From above, the town has no single centre. Its districts spread along the river valleys, divided by water and by the wide band of railway tracks that has shaped the place since the line across the mountains came through.
On the map the rivers do most of the drawing. The Chusovaya bends through forested country, and the town's streets follow the higher ground beside it. Residential blocks sit in separate clusters and bridges join them. Large industrial plots, laid out in rectangles, give way at the edges to dark, unbroken forest.
The Chusovaya is one of the best-known rafting rivers in the Urals, with limestone cliffs along its middle course, and the town has long been a starting point for trips downstream. A Chusovoy map poster shows how a working metallurgical and railway town fits into a landscape that is still mostly river and forest.

Railway corridor
A broad strip of tracks and sidings crosses the town. On the poster its long parallel lines stand out sharply against the curving streets and riverbanks.
Forest edge
Past the last streets the map goes quiet almost at once. Wooded hills close around the valleys, and the contrast gives the composition a clear frame.

Perché Chusovoy
Una mappa che ha un significato
People hang Chusovoy on the wall because they grew up in its river districts, worked at the plant, or started a Chusovaya rafting trip from its banks. The map records where the water meets and where the town has settled around it.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a year, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital files are sized for print, and framed prints ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
