Delta channels
Rivers and creeks run through and around the town. On the map they form the most expressive lines, winding across the flat terrain.

La mappa
Dawbon Map Poster & Print
Dawbon lies in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar, in the wide delta where the Irrawaddy River divides into many channels before reaching the Andaman Sea. This is one of the most important rice-growing areas in the country, and the landscape is almost entirely flat, crossed by rivers, creeks and canals that serve as routes as much as roads do.
From above, the town is shaped by that water. Settlements line the banks, streets run alongside or at right angles to the channels, and the built-up area gives way quickly to paddy fields. Where many towns have a clear boundary, here the town and the countryside merge along the waterways.
A Dawbon map poster brings out that close relationship between land and water. The channels create soft, winding lines across the page, the streets form a smaller, tighter pattern where the town is densest, and the open fields leave generous white space. It is a quiet, horizontal composition that reflects the low delta land it portrays.

Riverside streets
Many streets follow the banks of the waterways, so the town's layout traces the water rather than a regular grid.
Rice country
Beyond the built-up area, open fields stretch in every direction. On the poster they appear as wide, calm space around the town.
