The Brahmaputra
The river's braided channels and sandbars fill the northern part of the map. It is by far the largest feature in the frame and gives the poster its sense of scale.

La mappa
Dibrugarh Map Poster & Print
Dibrugarh lies in upper Assam on the south bank of the Brahmaputra, one of the widest rivers in Asia. On a map the river dominates, a broad band of channels and sandbars stretching across the top of the frame. The town sits against it, protected by a long embankment, and its streets spread southward in a moderately regular pattern toward the surrounding countryside.
The district is at the heart of Assam's tea country, and Dibrugarh is often called the tea city of India. Tea estates ring the town, appearing on the map as large blocks of open land with sparse internal roads. Downstream, the Bogibeel Bridge carries both road and rail across the Brahmaputra and is among the longest bridges in the country.
A Dibrugarh map poster shows the town's delicate relationship with its river. The water has reshaped this place before, and the embankment line is a visible reminder of that. Printed in black and white, the braided channels of the Brahmaputra, the compact grid of the town and the wide estates around it make a composition of unusual scale.

The embankment
A long protective embankment runs along the town's river side. On the poster it is a firm line between the settled streets and the shifting water beyond.
Tea estates
Tea gardens surround Dibrugarh in large, lightly drawn blocks crossed by only a few roads. They frame the town and point to its role in Assam's tea industry.

Perché Dibrugarh
Una mappa che ha un significato
Dibrugarh is a place many people leave for study or work and still think of as home, the river town with tea gardens at its edges. A map of it is a meaningful gift for family, or a way to keep a first posting or a childhood address in view.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, and you can choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the wide expanse of river especially well.
