Peninsula setting
Conakry stretches along a narrow strip of land in the Atlantic, and Dixinn sits within it, so water is never far from the edge of the frame.

La mappa
Dixinn Map Poster & Print
Dixinn is one of the communes of Conakry, the Guinean capital. The city occupies a long, narrow peninsula reaching into the Atlantic, and Dixinn lies partway along it, between the old administrative tip and the newer districts spreading inland. On a map the land looks squeezed, with the ocean close on the western side and the road network running mostly along the length of the peninsula.
Its street pattern is mixed. Some wider roads run straight and follow the peninsula's axis, and between them sits a fine web of irregular lanes where neighbourhoods have grown in close together. Larger blocks break up this texture. They include the campus of Gamal Abdel Nasser University and the grounds of Donka hospital, two institutions that make the commune a daily destination for much of the city.
A Dixinn map poster keeps this mix of order and density in black and white. The coastline makes a clean outer edge. The main roads give the frame a spine, and the small streets fill the spaces between them with fine grey. The result looks like a portrait of one working part of a capital, not a generic city view.

Perché Dixinn
Una mappa che ha un significato
People with a link to Dixinn often remember it through the university, the hospital or a family home in its lanes. A map poster records that particular piece of Conakry more precisely than a photograph of the whole city.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, such as a graduation year or a street you lived on. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
