Eloise is a community in Polk County, central Florida, just south-east of Winter Haven. The area is shaped by lakes. On the map, water fills large parts of the image, and streets run around and between the shorelines rather than in a straight grid. Residential lots, orange groves and open land fill in the rest.
Eloise takes its name from Lake Eloise, one of the lakes of the Winter Haven area. The theme park that stands on its shore today, Legoland Florida, occupies the site of the former Cypress Gardens, one of Florida's early tourist attractions. The lakes are linked by canals, forming a local chain.
