East Rail line
The railway runs through the town towards Sheung Shui and the border. It is a strong straight line on the map that anchors the pattern of estates around it.

La mappa
Fanling Map Poster & Print
Fanling is one half of the Fanling–Sheung Shui new town in Hong Kong's North District, close to the boundary with Shenzhen. Its map mixes large public housing estates set around podiums and open spaces, older walled villages and market streets. The East Rail line runs through it in a long line heading north towards the border crossings.
One of the most striking shapes on the map is the Hong Kong Golf Club's course at Fanling. On a black and white print it is a wide expanse of open ground bordered by roads and villages. The course has been in use since the early twentieth century and has long been part of a debate over land use.
Rivers and drainage channels, including the Ng Tung River, trace clean lines across the flat valley floor between the hills. A Fanling map poster captures the contrast between the tall estates, the older village clusters and the green spaces around them. The mix is typical of Hong Kong's northern towns, yet the layout is Fanling's own.

Fanling golf course
The golf club's grounds form one of the largest open areas in the district. They appear as a broad, quiet shape with only a few service roads crossing it.
Walled villages
Older settlements such as the Lung Yeuk Tau villages keep their compact, inward-facing layouts. They stand apart from the larger blocks of the new town.

Perché Fanling
Una mappa che ha un significato
Fanling is home to families who have lived in its estates for decades and to villages with much longer histories. A map of the town is a quiet, personal way to remember a childhood flat, a school route or the train journey south.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to edit, with room for a name, an estate or a year. Choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 digital download or a printed poster.
