Fátima is a small municipality in the north-east of Bahia, inland from the coast in the region's semi-arid belt. The town forms a tight cluster of streets. It has a few longer roads that serve as main axes, and short cross streets fill in between them. Beyond the last houses, the map opens into countryside marked by roads and tracks leading to rural settlements.
