La mappa
Gaofeng Map Poster & Print
Gaofeng is in the northeastern part of Chongqing municipality, a mountainous region of steep hills, deep valleys and terraced farmland in the wider Three Gorges area. The terrain shapes everything. The town's streets gather where the ground allows, and the roads leading out follow ridges and valley floors.
From above, Gaofeng looks like a compact cluster of buildings and streets, with roads curling away in long switchbacks and bends. Small villages and farmhouses are scattered across the surrounding slopes, linked by narrow lanes that make their way along the contours.
A Gaofeng map poster captures the character of a mountain town in Chongqing. The dense core forms a small focal point. The winding roads create sweeping curves across the frame, and the open space around them suggests the steep, layered landscape that a minimal map leaves unsaid.

Winding hill roads
Roads leave Gaofeng in curves and switchbacks, following the terrain. On the poster they form flowing lines that give the map movement.
Scattered villages
Farmhouses and hamlets dot the surrounding slopes, connected by narrow lanes. They add small points of detail to the open space.
