Compact centre
The town's lanes and compounds form a dense, irregular cluster. It reads as the clear focal point of an otherwise open map.

La mappa
Ghubaysh Map Poster & Print
Ghubaysh lies in West Kordofan, in the broad savanna belt of central Sudan. On the map the town is a compact cluster of lanes and compounds with no rigid grid. Its streets follow the practical lines of daily movement. Beyond it, a few tracks head across open land in several directions and link to villages and grazing areas.
The surrounding region is dry for much of the year. Seasonal watercourses appear in the rains and fade in the dry months. Farming and livestock herding have long shaped life in this part of Kordofan, and settlements like Ghubaysh serve as local meeting and trading points for the country around them.
A Ghubaysh map poster reduces the town to its essential structure: a close-knit centre, routes leading out, and a great deal of open space. The result is spare and quiet. For people with roots in West Kordofan, it is a way to keep home clearly in view.

Radiating tracks
Several roads and tracks leave town toward neighbouring settlements. On the poster they spread out like spokes across the savanna.
Open savanna
Much of the map is empty land, crossed only by a few faint lines. That openness is itself a true picture of the region.

Perché Ghubaysh
Una mappa che ha un significato
For families from Ghubaysh living elsewhere in Sudan or abroad, a simple map of the town can say a great deal. It shows exactly where home is, without depending on photographs.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps in a family name, and add a date and coordinates. Choose one of five styles. Sand matches the land's tone, and Noir gives it a strong graphic look.
