La mappa

Hājo Map Poster & Print

Hājo is a short distance northwest of Guwahati, on the north bank of the Brahmaputra. The land here is mostly low and level, with paddy fields and water bodies, but a group of small hills rises from the plain. The town is built around and between them, so its streets bend where the ground rises.

Hājo is known as a meeting point of three faiths. The Hayagriva Madhava temple on Monikut hill is important to Hindus and also revered by some Buddhists, and the Poa Mecca mosque on another hilltop draws Muslim pilgrims. Few towns this size carry such a layered religious geography.

On the map, the hills appear as islands of open space inside the street network, with roads curving around their bases. A Hājo map poster keeps that relationship between the sacred hilltops and the town at their feet, laid out in clean lines against the flat Assamese plain.

01

Temple and mosque hills

Separate hillocks hold the Hayagriva Madhava temple and the Poa Mecca mosque. On the poster they appear as quiet, rounded spaces that the streets curve around.

02

North bank plain

Around the town, flat land holds rice fields, ponds and seasonal wetlands. These give the map wide margins of calm, unbroken ground.

03

Road toward Guwahati

A main road links Hājo with the Brahmaputra crossings near Guwahati. It is a strong line that ties the town to the regional capital.

Perché Hājo

Una mappa che ha un significato

Hājo matters to pilgrims of several faiths and to families across lower Assam. A map of its hills and streets is a respectful way to keep that place close, without choosing any single image.

You can add a personal title, a subtitle such as a date of visit, and the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
