La mappa
Helin Map Poster
Helin is a small town in the Chongqing municipality in southwestern China, in the hilly country on the eastern side of the Sichuan Basin. The landscape here is made of low hills, narrow valleys and farmland, and the map reflects that setting. Streets cluster where the ground is flattest, and roads wind through valleys to neighbouring settlements.
Around the town, the land is divided into fields, often terraced on the slopes, and small watercourses run through the valleys. The road network is sparse and irregular, following the contours of the terrain rather than any grid.
A Helin map poster shows a compact town set within a quiet, rural landscape. It is not widely known outside the region, and the map treats it simply: a small centre, a few roads leading away, and the soft, rolling hills around it. For people from Helin, that is a familiar and meaningful picture of home.

Valley roads
Roads follow valleys and curve around hills, linking Helin with nearby villages and giving the map an organic, flowing pattern.
Terraced hillsides
Farmland and terraces surround the town, leaving much of the poster open, with only thin lines of paths and streams.
