La mappa
Ibiapina Map Poster & Print
Ibiapina sits on the Serra da Ibiapaba, the long plateau that rises along the western edge of Ceará. The altitude brings a cooler, wetter climate than the sertão lowlands, and the land around the town is green and cultivated. From above, the town is a compact grid, and roads curve across the farmland beyond.
The plateau ends in a steep escarpment to the east, with waterfalls and viewpoints looking out across the plain below. Ibiapina is part of the chain of highland towns along the plateau, where vegetable and flower growing are important. Visitors come for the mild climate, the falls and the views.
An Ibiapina map poster shows the small, regular town centre within a landscape of fields and winding rural roads. Toward the escarpment the network thins and the terrain becomes more rugged. It is a fine choice for people from the Ibiapaba region and for anyone who has escaped the heat of the sertão for a few days in the hills.

Eastern escarpment
Toward the east, the plateau drops steeply to the plain. Roads grow sparse, and the map shows the change from cultivated plateau to rugged edge.
Compact town grid
The centre is laid out in regular blocks, forming a clear core in the surrounding fields and winding rural roads.

Perché Ibiapina
Una mappa che ha un significato
