La mappa
Itapevi Map Poster & Print
Itapevi lies at the western end of the São Paulo metropolitan area, where the city's sprawl meets the green, rolling country beyond. Seen from above, it is not a grid. Neighbourhoods climb up and down the hills, and streets curve to follow the slopes and the valleys between them. The result is a dense, organic street pattern broken up by patches of woodland.
The suburban railway gives the town its clearest straight line. Tracks run through the valley floor, with stations drawing the older commercial streets toward them. Most of the town has grown outward from that corridor over recent decades, as people and industry moved beyond the capital, and newer housing now fills the surrounding hills in tightly packed loops and cul-de-sacs.
For many residents, Itapevi is a place of daily commutes into São Paulo and weekends closer to home. An Itapevi map poster shows the town as its own shape rather than a footnote to the metropolis. The rail corridor sets the axis, the hills bend everything around it, and the remaining green spaces appear as calm open areas among the streets.

Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets wind along ridges and down into hollows, so the map fills with curving roads and irregular blocks instead of a regular grid.
Green margins
Patches of woodland and undeveloped hillside break up the built area, especially toward the edges, where the metropolitan sprawl gives way to open country.

Perché Itapevi
Una mappa che ha un significato
Itapevi is home for many families who have built their lives on the edge of the metropolis. A map of the streets where you grew up or first bought a home keeps that place in view, drawn with the same care usually reserved for famous capitals.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a street name, a date or a dedication. Pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9, or order a matte print, framed or unframed.
