Basin setting
The town sits on level valley ground, so the map is dominated by the contrast between a compact urban cluster and the wide farmland stretching toward the surrounding hills.

La mappa
Jinniu Map Poster & Print
Jinniu lies in Binchuan County, part of Yunnan's Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, on a basin floor ringed by mountain ranges. Maps of the town show a dense centre of blocks and lanes that thins quickly into farmland. Roads run outward from it to villages across the valley.
The setting is typical of western Yunnan: flat, cultivated ground held between hills and crossed by streams and irrigation channels that follow the slope of the land. Newer development tends to line the main roads in straighter blocks. Older parts of town keep narrower and more irregular passages.
A Jinniu map poster makes that contrast easy to read. The built-up core forms a dark, tightly drawn cluster, and the field boundaries and waterways create a lighter, patterned surround. The edges of the basin hint at the high ground beyond. It suits anyone with ties to this part of Dali who wants something quiet and exact.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre for outlying villages and neighbouring counties. They draw long lines across the fields that give the composition its direction and show how the valley connects.
Old and new blocks
Irregular lanes in the older part of town sit beside the broader, straighter streets of recent growth. This change in texture is easy to follow in a black and white print.
