Taihang foothills
Ridges rise to the west of town, and roads follow the valleys between them. This gives the street network a channelled, directional look that towns on the plain do not have.

La mappa
Kuangshi Map Poster & Print
Kuangshi lies west of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei, where the flat North China Plain gives way to the ridges of the Taihang Mountains. From above, the town fills its valley, with streets squeezed between hills and roads running along the lower ground. The contrast between the dense built-up area and the folded terrain around it gives the map a strong sense of structure.
The name points to mining, and the area's growth has long depended on coal from the surrounding hills. Industrial sites, rail lines and workers' housing shaped much of the town. On a map, these appear as large blocks and straight corridors among the more irregular residential streets. The town belongs to the wider Shijiazhuang area.
A Kuangshi map poster turns an industrial town on the edge of the mountains into a balanced graphic composition. Valleys, rail lines and housing blocks sit together in clean lines, a quiet portrait of a place that has worked hard for decades. It suits former residents, mining families and anyone connected to western Hebei.

Industrial corridors
Rail lines and industrial sites form long straight elements across the map. They are the legacy of the mining that shaped the town's growth.
Road to Shijiazhuang
Roads run east out of the hills toward Shijiazhuang and the open plain, linking this compact town to one of northern China's major provincial capitals.

Perché Kuangshi
Una mappa che ha un significato
Industrial towns rarely appear on souvenir shelves, yet they hold strong memories for the people who lived and worked in them. A map of Kuangshi records its streets precisely, as a reminder of home, family history or years spent in western Hebei.
