The Navli river
The river runs between the two halves of town, a winding band that divides the poster and explains why the town has two names.

La mappa
Kundla Map Poster & Print
Kundla, better known as Savarkundla, lies in Amreli district in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. It grew as two separate settlements, Savar and Kundla, facing each other across the Navli river. On the map that origin is still visible: two dense clusters of streets with the river bed between them.
The river is usually shallow and seasonal, but it shapes the town's layout. Bridges and causeways cross it, and the older lanes on both banks are tight and irregular, with more regular streets in the newer areas. Roads lead out across the flat, farmed plain of Saurashtra.
The town is known in Gujarat for manufacturing weighing scales and for an unusual Diwali tradition in which residents throw burning ingoriya fruit at each other in mock battle. A Kundla map poster shows two towns becoming one across a river.

Two old cores
Savar and Kundla each have their own dense tangle of lanes, and the poster shows them as two dark areas facing each other.
River crossings
Several bridges link the banks, short straight lines that stitch the twin towns together over the river bed.

Perché Kundla
Una mappa che ha un significato
Families from Savarkundla often know exactly which side of the river they come from. A map that shows both halves together is a fitting way to keep the whole town on the wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family name, a shop name or a year. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
