Cliff coast
Toward Saint-Denis, the shore meets steep cliffs, and the coastal routes run right along the water. The coastline gives the poster a bold, sweeping edge.

La mappa
La Possession Map Poster & Print
La Possession sits on the northwest coast of Réunion, between Le Port and the cliffs that separate it from Saint-Denis. From above, the town is a strip of streets along a narrow coastal plain, with residential areas climbing the lower slopes behind it. Coastal roads run along the shore, and steep ravines cut down through the terrain, breaking the street pattern into separate sections.
The commune is much larger than the town itself. It reaches deep into the island's interior and includes most of the Cirque of Mafate, a mountain basin with no road access, reached only on foot or by helicopter. The town's name recalls an early French claim to the island. On a map, all of this becomes a striking contrast between a dense coast and an almost empty, rugged interior.
A La Possession map poster usually focuses on the coastal town, with the sea on one side and the rising ground on the other. The shoreline gives it a strong edge, and the ravines add rhythm. It is a map of a place where the ocean and the mountains are never far apart.

Ravine cuts
Deep ravines run down from the heights to the sea, splitting neighbourhoods apart. They show as gaps and curves between blocks of streets.
Gateway to Mafate
The commune includes most of the roadless Cirque of Mafate. Behind the town, the street network fades as the terrain rises toward it.

Perché La Possession
Una mappa che ha un significato
La Possession means something to people who hiked into Mafate from its heights, lived by its coast or have family on Réunion. A map of the town between sea and mountains is a clean way to keep that island in view from far away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, then choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint works well for a coast. HD files are $9, and a free watermarked preview lets you check the layout first.
