The Forks
The two branches of the Thames meet just west of downtown. On the map, it is where the river's curves come together and the city's history starts.

La mappa
London Map Poster & Print
London, Ontario lies in the south-west of the province, midway between Toronto and Detroit. From above, it is a broad grid of streets crossed by the Thames River, whose north and south branches meet at the Forks, just west of downtown. The river winds through the city, and its banks are lined with parks and trails.
The city took its name and its river from the English original, and many street names follow the same pattern. It is known as the Forest City for its many trees, and it is home to Western University, whose campus sits along the river's north branch.
A London map poster shows a city that is orderly but not rigid. The grid runs steadily in all directions, the winding Thames breaks it with long curves of green, and the downtown blocks and Victoria Park sit close to the Forks, where the city began.

Western campus
The university grounds lie along the north branch of the river, with their own looping roads and large open spaces, clearly different from the grid around them.
River parkland
Green corridors follow the Thames through the city. They appear as soft, winding bands that cut across the straight lines of the street grid.

Perché London
Una mappa che ha un significato
London is a place many people know through Western University or a first job, and it often becomes home. A poster of the city keeps the river, the campus and familiar streets together in one image.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a graduation year or the address of a first house. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to complete it.
