La mappa
Lushan Map Poster & Print
Lushan lies in the east of Guizhou Province, in the south of China, a region known for its karst landscape of rounded hills, deep valleys and rivers. On a map, the town fits into the available flat ground, with streets following the valley floor and roads curving around the slopes that surround it.
In much of Guizhou, terrain decides where people can build, and the resulting maps are irregular and organic. Terraced fields, small villages and winding mountain roads fill the space between larger towns, and a settlement like Lushan often appears as a compact knot of streets in an otherwise hilly landscape.
A Lushan map poster shows this relationship between town and terrain clearly. The composition is shaped by curves rather than grids, with roads tracing the contours of the land. It is a natural choice for anyone with family ties to this part of Guizhou.
