Looping residential streets
Streets curve into loops and cul-de-sacs, making each neighbourhood a self-contained cluster. The result is a soft, organic pattern typical of late twentieth-century planned communities.

La mappa
Mililani Town Map Poster & Print
Mililani Town sits on the central plateau of Oahu, between the Waianae and Koolau mountain ranges. It was developed as a master-planned community from the late 1960s on land previously used for pineapple, and from above it looks exactly like that: an organised pattern of looping streets, cul-de-sacs, schools and parks.
Deep, forested gulches run across the plateau and define the town's edges, cutting sharp, branching lines into the map. The H-2 freeway and Kamehameha Highway pass alongside, connecting Mililani with Wahiawa to the north and Pearl City and Honolulu to the south, while neighbourhood streets stay inside and feed into a few main roads.
The town lies close to Schofield Barracks and Wheeler, and many military families have lived here over the years. A Mililani Town map poster turns the suburban plan into a graphic pattern: soft curves bounded by the jagged lines of the gulches around them.

Gulches
Steep, wooded gulches cut across the plateau around the town. On the map they appear as long, branching empty spaces that frame and divide the built area.
Freeway edge
The H-2 freeway runs past the town in a smooth, sweeping line, marking a clear boundary and forming one of the strongest single strokes in the composition.
