Two rivers joining
The Skykomish and Snoqualmie meet just outside town and become the Snohomish River. Their broad meanders and oxbows are the most striking lines on the map.

La mappa
Monroe Map Poster & Print
Monroe sits in Snohomish County in western Washington, at the point where the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers join to form the Snohomish. From above, the town looks like a tidy grid of streets pressed between wide, curving floodplains. Farm fields and wetlands fill the low ground around it, and forested foothills start to rise just to the east.
US Route 2 runs straight through town and continues toward Stevens Pass. For many travellers heading into the Cascades, Monroe is the last real town before the mountains. On a map the highway shows up as a strong line leaving the grid and following the Skykomish valley upstream, with side roads branching into rural lots and small clusters of homes.
A Monroe map poster shows a place defined by water as much as by streets. The rivers cut sweeping arcs across the sheet, and the town's rectangular blocks stand out against the looser pattern of fields and back roads. The result is a balanced composition, with a dense centre and plenty of open space at the edges.

US 2 corridor
The highway crosses the town from west to east and then follows the river valley toward Stevens Pass. It gives the poster a clear, directional spine.
Floodplain farmland
Low, open ground spreads out around the grid. Fields, sloughs and scattered farm roads give the edges of the map a quiet, spacious texture.

Perché Monroe
Una mappa che ha un significato
People hang a map of Monroe to remember a home near the rivers, a regular stop on the drive over the pass, or the place where a family settled. The river lines give it a presence on the wall that feels personal without being loud.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a street, a year or a name. Then choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the room.
