Plateau setting
Namanyere sits on high ground above Lake Tanganyika, and the fairly open terrain keeps its roads long and mostly straight across the sheet.

La mappa
Namanyere Map Poster & Print
Namanyere is the headquarters of Nkasi District in Tanzania's Rukwa Region. It stands on the plateau above the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. The town grew around the roads that link the district's farming villages, so from above it looks more like a crossroads than a planned centre: a core of market streets, with plots and fields spreading out in every direction.
Maize and other crops cover much of the surrounding land, so beyond the town the map is a quiet pattern of tracks and field edges. A Namanyere map poster captures that balance between a small, legible street network and a wide margin of countryside. Anyone who knows the long drives across Rukwa will recognise the view.
Sumbawanga, the regional capital, is reached by road to the southeast, and tracks head west toward the escarpment and the lakeshore below. These routes give the town its star-like shape on paper. Because the built area is compact, the poster can show all of Namanyere with its approach roads, so it reads as a complete portrait rather than a fragment.

Radiating roads
Routes to Sumbawanga, the lakeshore and nearby villages leave the centre in several directions, giving the town a clear, star-like outline on paper.
Field patterns
Farmland surrounds the built area, and the edges of fields and footpaths add a fine, irregular texture around the compact centre.

Perché Namanyere
Una mappa che ha un significato
People usually choose a map of Namanyere because they lived, worked or grew up in Nkasi District. You can set your own title, add a name or date in the subtitle, and edit the coordinates line to point to a particular home or school.
Sand and Paper give the plateau a warm, earthy tone, and Noir inverts it into light lines on a dark ground. Blueprint and Classic black & white keep it crisp. The $9 digital file covers six print sizes, or you can order a printed poster instead.
