Roads across savanna
A few routes leave the settlement in different directions and cross open land to other villages. On the poster they read as long single lines on an almost empty ground.

La mappa
Natiaboani Map Poster & Print
Natiaboani is in Burkina Faso's Est region, a flat country of savanna, scattered trees and seasonal watercourses. From above, the town is a loose cluster of short streets and compounds. There is no dense core. Buildings thin out quickly into fields and bush, and a handful of roads run away from the centre toward neighbouring communities across the plain.
Most of the map's character comes from what is missing. There are no tight blocks, rail lines or large water bodies. What remains is a sparse pattern of tracks, a few firmer roads and the faint lines of dry-season streambeds. Printed in black and white, it looks more like a drawing than a street plan, and it shows plainly how settlement follows the land in this part of West Africa.
A Natiaboani map poster suits someone with a personal tie to the town: family, work or a stay in the region. The cartography stays honest to the place. Streets and paths are drawn exactly as they are mapped, with nothing added for effect, so the result is a quiet, accurate record of a small community in the east of the country.

Scattered compounds
There is no solid block of buildings. Homes and yards spread out in small groups, giving the centre of the map a soft, dotted texture instead of a hard grid.
Seasonal watercourses
Shallow drainage lines that carry water only in the rainy season run across the surrounding plain. They add faint, irregular strokes to an otherwise open composition.

Perché Natiaboani
Una mappa che ha un significato
People hang Natiaboani because it matters to them, not because it is famous. It might be a family home, a posting or a place remembered from time spent in eastern Burkina Faso. The sparse layout makes a calm, abstract picture that works in almost any room.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a year. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The poster is available as a $9 HD download or as a printed poster.
