Garden suburb
Detached houses and gardens make the street pattern spacious. At poster scale the blocks look open and airy compared with the dense grid of central Athens.

La mappa
Néa Erythraía Map Poster & Print
Néa Erythraía is a suburb at the northern end of the Athens urban area, next to Kifisia, where the city meets the lower slopes of the hills around the Attica basin. From above it looks very different from central Athens. Streets curve gently, the blocks are larger, and gardens, pines and small parks break up the built areas.
The name reflects its origins. The town was founded by refugees from Erythrae on the Asia Minor coast after 1922, who brought the name of their old home with them. Today it is a residential area popular with families, close to the major roads leading north out of Athens.
A Néa Erythraía map poster shows a looser, greener side of the Attica capital. Main roads and the highway form the edges, and the areas between them are filled with residential streets, cul-de-sacs and open green spaces.
