La mappa
New Castle Map Poster & Print
New Castle is the seat of Henry County in east-central Indiana, located east of Indianapolis. Like many towns in the state, it is organised around a courthouse square, with commercial streets forming the core and residential blocks spreading outwards in a largely regular grid. The Big Blue River passes along the western side of the town.
New Castle has a strong place in Indiana basketball. It is home to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, and the New Castle Fieldhouse, a high school gymnasium with seating for more than nine thousand people, is often described as the largest high school gym in the world.
A New Castle map poster shows the ordered geometry of a Midwestern county town, interrupted by the curves of the river and the lines of railways and highways. It is a clear and legible map, and the square at its centre gives the design a natural focal point.

Regular street grid
Residential streets extend from the centre in a fairly even grid of blocks, typical of Indiana towns, giving the map a calm and ordered texture.
Big Blue River
The river winds along the western side of town, its meandering line and wooded banks breaking the straight grid with softer, natural curves.
