Government core
The central administrative area, including the presidential palace, is organised along formal axes. Its structured pattern contrasts with the forest and hills around it.

La mappa
Nusantara Map Poster & Print
Nusantara is Indonesia's new capital city, under construction in East Kalimantan on the island of Borneo and designated to take over the role of capital from Jakarta. Most cities grow over centuries, but Nusantara is being built from a master plan. Its map shows a new core of government buildings and avenues set among hills, forest and plantations.
The central government area, with the presidential palace, is laid out along formal axes. Roads lead from it to construction sites, future districts and Balikpapan, the nearest large city. Because the city is still growing, its map changes from year to year, so any poster records a particular stage of its development.
A Nusantara map poster captures a capital in the making, which is rare to hang on a wall. It will mean something to the engineers, officials and families involved in building it, and to anyone following Indonesia's decision to move its capital. Over the years the map will fill in, and this version will show where it started.

Forested hills
Much of the planned area is rolling, wooded land, so the map leaves generous open space between the clusters of new streets.
Link to Balikpapan
New roads connect the capital with Balikpapan to the southeast. They draw long lines across the landscape between the city and the coast.

Perché Nusantara
Una mappa che ha un significato
For people helping to build Nusantara, and for those following its growth from afar, a map is a snapshot of a city at an early stage. It records a moment that will look different in a few years.
Put the year in the subtitle so the poster clearly marks its date, add a title and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, including Blueprint and Noir, and download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
