La mappa
Orient Heights Map Poster & Print
Orient Heights sits at the northern end of East Boston, on a hill that rises above the flat, reclaimed land around it. On a map its streets curve and switch back to follow the slope, which sets them apart from the straighter blocks further south. Water is never far away. Belle Isle Marsh lies to the north and Boston Harbor to the south and east.
The neighbourhood is known for its hilltop views, and for the shrine of the Madonna, Queen of the Universe, whose statue looks out from the summit over the harbour and the city skyline. Below the hill, Constitution Beach stretches along the shore facing the airport, and the Blue Line's Orient Heights station connects the area to downtown.
An Orient Heights map poster shows an unusual meeting of land types. There are winding residential streets, the ragged edges of the marsh, the straight edges of runways and the open harbour, all inside one frame. The contrast between the organic hill and the engineered airfield makes it one of the more graphic prints in the Boston area.

Belle Isle Marsh
To the north, the preserved salt marsh breaks into irregular channels and islands of grass, adding a soft, natural texture to the top of the map.
Airport and harbour edge
Logan's long runways and Constitution Beach line the southern side of the neighbourhood, giving the poster strong straight lines and a clean shoreline.

Perché Orient Heights
Una mappa che ha un significato
Orient Heights is a place people get attached to. Families have lived on the hill for generations, and newcomers fall for the views over the water. A map of the neighbourhood makes a thoughtful gift for a new homeowner or for someone who has moved away from East Boston.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a meaningful date and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint and Noir show off the runways and shoreline especially well.
