Two rivers meeting
The Damas River joins the Rahue within the city, and their curving channels give the map a natural counterpoint to the straight colonial blocks.

La mappa
Osorno Map Poster & Print
Osorno is in Chile's Los Lagos Region. It was founded in the 16th century and re-established in the late 18th after a long abandonment. The centre follows the Spanish colonial grid, with square blocks laid out around the Plaza de Armas, but the rivers keep that order from feeling rigid. The Damas River joins the Rahue here, and both carve curving lines through the city.
The Rahue divides Osorno into two parts, with the Rahue district on the western bank linked to the centre by bridges. German settlers arrived in the region from the 19th century, and their influence remains in wooden houses and a strong dairy and farming economy. Beyond the city, pastures roll out towards distant volcanoes, including the one that shares its name.
An Osorno map poster brings together the geometry of the colonial grid and the soft loops of two rivers, with the bridges stitching both sides together. It suits people from southern Chile, travellers who passed through on the way to the lakes, and anyone drawn to cities where water shapes the plan.

Colonial grid
Square blocks organised around the Plaza de Armas form the historic core, a tidy lattice that reads beautifully in fine black lines.
Bridges to Rahue
Bridges across the Rahue River link the centre with the western district, small crossings that are easy to spot on the finished poster.
